| It's amazing how God can speak to us through seemingly terrible situations... I've had some hard times lately and been hurting probably worse than I ever have before. So I know that God is still in control and has a plan and everyting happens for a reason. And don't get me wrong, I've been praising Him still and not angry at Him in the least. Along with that I've really been praying for Him to take this pain away though... And it wasn't til this morning that He really showed me that I ought not to pray for Him to take away the pain, but to draw me closer to Him through the situation. So what if I'm hurting really bad, so what if I'm not in my comfort zone...If I'm coming closer to the Lord and learning more about His grace and comfort then it has (in the words of Borat) "been great success." So I guess my prayer is this--Lord, please continue to draw me close to you and teach me about yourself, even if it means ripping my life I'm comfortable with apart and not letting me know where you are taking me. Amen | | |
